Pathfinder and Adventurer BST Certifications, along with seminars on the new Master Guide curriculum, will be offered during the event.

General Info and Details
Location: Foothills Camp and Retreat Centre, Bowden Alberta
Dates: October 25 – 27, 2024
Program starts at 6:30 PM on Friday. A detailed weekend schedule will be posted a week before event starts.
Registration Fee Per Person:
Includes accommodation, four meals (3 Saturday and Sunday breakfast) and training supplies.
- $140 – Cabin Rooms, Shared (limited availability)
- $70 – Children (ages 4 – 9)
Notes:
- Check-in starts Friday at 4:30 PM – Room assignments will be done upon check-in.
- Friday supper WILL NOT be provided.
- Use of uniforms is not expected. Casual attire with the scarf.
- Childcare onsite will be available for children 4 to 9. Make sure to include them during registration.
- Registration Deadline: Midnight, October 20, 2024.
Tracks and Certifications:
- Leadership Identity & Growth (New MG Curriculum Section I.1.a-h)
- Refresh and sharpen your leadership skills, vision, mission, and motivation through transformative sessions on Christian Leadership, Discipline & Discipleship, Child & Youth Evangelism, Developing Effective Worships, Communication, Education, and Creative Instructional Resources. Each session is designed to equip you with practical tools and fresh perspectives.
- Invested MG Track, for those who are already invested and wanting to advance their leadership impact.
- Learn practical and effective mentorship principles, including how to mentor a Master Guide in Training, explore strategies for Master Guide Club Organization and Planning and be part of the visioning and strategic planning of the Master Guide Ministry in Alberta.
- Let’s get back to the basics with the Adventurer and Pathfinder Basic Staff Training Certifications.
- Whether you’re a new leader or need a refresher, these courses will get you new and relevant context for your ministry and set you up for success, regardless of your current experience.
- Teen Leadership Training: Learn all about the TLT Program and how you can use it in your Pathfinder Club to empower and equip teens to become effective leaders by building their confidence, enhancing decision-making skills, and fostering adult mentorship.
- Standard First Aid & CPR Course: Starts Sunday, October 26 at 1:00 PM
- New Certification: $150 – nonrefundable fee, pre-registration required – Includes Sunday lunch. This is a blended course with an online portion and a half-day in-person training. The link for the online part will be sent directly from Red Cross on October 21, and it needs to be completed before October 25, 2024.
- Re-certification: $135 – nonrefundable fee, pre-registration required – Includes Sunday Lunch. Get re-certified by attending the in-person portion only.

Please note that there are TWO forms that should be submitted: the Registration Form and the Additional Info Form. The purpose of the Additional Info Form is to assist us in creating an effective schedule for the weekend.
